Frequently asked questions

  • Is there a charge for this support?
    There is no fee for this support, the project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by funds from the delivery partners; Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Chester and Reaseheath College.
  • Will I need to complete any paperwork before starting my support?
    Yes all beneficiaries will have to complete a registration form to prove their eligibility for ERDF funded support. Any paperwork required is to ensure appropriate records are kept for project management, claims, and audit as well as for statistical and research purposes.
  • Where will the support take place?
    All delivery will take place within in Cheshire and Warrington region (this includes the delivery by Manchester Metropolitan University): venues vary but specific details of locations can be found on the Masterclasses, Events and Workshops pages.
  • I don’t live in Cheshire or Warrington, can I still access support?
    The project is geographically funded; potential entrepreneurs must live in the Cheshire and Warrington region and companies must be based or trading from a Cheshire and Warrington address.
    Business support in neighbouring regions can be sought from the local growth hub e.g.:
    For Greater Manchester
    For Merseyside
  • How many sessions can I attend?
    There is no maximum number of sessions, but the minimum number of hours we would like you to commit to/attend to enable us to claim the funding behind your support is a total of 12 hours. These hours can spread over time. Delivery can vary depending on the delivery partner, the sessions could be workshops, masterclasses, one to ones or you could be signed up to set cohort.
  • How is my data stored?
    UEDU, Manchester Metropolitan University,  the University of Chester and Reaseheath College are responsible for complying with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Data Protection Act 2018, when personal data is processed. Each partner will be able to supply you with a copy of the Privacy Notice.
  • Where do I sign up?
    You can sign up by clicking on the Apply for support section  and completing the form. Your enquiry will come directly into the central admin team managed by Universities Economic Development Unit (UEDU) who will distribute your enquiry to our direct delivery partners.
