Lunch and Learn: Developing Your Brand- Thursday 28th May
The Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Programme is hosting regular ‘lunch and learn’ webinars to offer support and advice to local businesses. Each session will focus on a different business topic and be led by a guest expert who will share their knowledge and top tips, then answer some of your questions.
Branding a product or a business can appear to be a dark art, but the basics of branding are straightforward. This 45-minute session provides an opportunity to refresh what you already know and benefit from the latest thinking with Professor Gary Davies of the University of Chester. Gary’s career includes working for the likes of Mars, as an academic for Oxford University and Manchester Business School and as a consultant for businesses large and small in the UK and overseas. His latest research is into how micro-enterprises brand themselves and so his talk will be very relevant to the SME community. Topics will include:
- Why brand your business?
- The differences between branding and other aspects of marketing including design and selling.
- Creating your own product or business brand.
Bring along your own questions and expect some useful ideas on how to develop your business.
Who can attend?
You should be registered on, or interested in receiving business support through, the ERDF-funded Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Programme. The lunch and learn sessions are open to all local businesses but we do encourage you to have a chat to us about what the programme can offer you beyond these, including workshops and 121s firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do I need to prepare?
Who can attend?
Anyone can attend these informal sessions, not just those registered on the ERDF-funded Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Programme. However, we would encourage local SMEs to have a chat to us about what the programme can offer you beyond these sessions, including longer workshops and 121s email@example.com.
How to join the webinar
Once you have registered on Eventbrite you should receive an automatic email inviting you to a Zoom session, let us know if you do not receive this within an hour of signing up. If you have not used Zoom before try downloading and testing it out beforehand. Here is a link to some tutorials if you struggle or you can email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
What to expect in the webinar
When you enter the webinar you will automatically be on mute and you will not be expected to have your video on. There will be a chat box down the side where you can ask your questions to the expert, which we highly encourage, or you may prefer just to listen. We aim for the webinars to be as accessible to all as possible so you can be as active as you wish.
