The Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Programme is hosting regular ‘lunch and learn’ webinars to offer support and advice to local businesses. Each session will focus on a different business topic and be led by a guest expert who will share their knowledge and top tips, then answer some of your questions.

Business Blogging for Beginners, delivered by Ian Maguire from Displace Digital

An informal 45 minute session aimed at providing you with the tools to start blogging with confidence about your business. With everyone on lockdown, now is a great time to showcase your expertise and grow your customer base ready for when things return to normal, or even to boost your sales right now. The benefits of maintaining a blog are vast, improving credibility and visibility for both yourself as a business leader and the business itself.

In this session we will:

  • Explore some of the different types of blog post businesses share to establish what could be effective for you.
  • Review the various platforms available and their pros and cons.
  • Discuss how to establish the right tone of voice for your business and the planning and structuring of posts.

Ian Maguire from Displace Digital in Chester will be delivering this session. Prior to launching his own company, Ian was Head of Strategy at some of the region’s most well-respected Digital Agencies. He was at the forefront of shaping effective digital transformation, digital strategy, web development, search engine optimisation, social media outreach and digital marketing for the best part of twenty years.

Ian delivers compelling digital propositions across the commercial spectrum, from pre-launch start-ups and SMEs, to high-street household names, housing associations, football clubs and oil companies.
