Entrepreneurs and start-ups
We offer a two day ‘start-up weekend’. The first day will explore how to start a business and develop your value proposition. The second day will help you to develop a Business Model Canvas. The start-up weekends will take place on the following dates:

New food workshops starting September 2017
With high end facilities and expertise in the food and drink industry, The University of Chester is introducing a programme of three workshops specifically for food businesses. The workshops will cover everything from product development to getting products stocked on supermarket shelves:

Reaseheath College

Reaseheath College are hosting a range of business support workshops via the Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Programme:

New product development workshops for businesses within the food industry
These workshops are designed for anyone who already has a product design in mind and wants to learn how to reduce costs and to maximise the chance of success. 

The workshops will focus in particular on new product development for micro-SMEs (up to 50 employees) within the food sector. The workshops will give you the essential knowledge to give your business a competitive edge.

These sessions are designed to help you learn the fundamentals of the financial world, especially in the early years. Core topics covered will include micro business resilience, cost analysis, cash flow and forecasting and much more. 

HR essentials

Perfect for the micro business hiring staff for the first time. This highly interactive session will use real life examples as well as your own business experience to provide you with an overview of all the essential HR practices. 

How to sell on your terms

This workshop will focus on improving your negotiation techniques and teach you how to sell effectively. It will extend your knowledge and deepen your confidence to help you deliver the perfect pitch. 

E-commerce – How to develop your online retail strategy and practice

The aim of this session is to give you an understanding of online traffic generation, site mechanics, the structure of an e-commerce site and its analytics tools. The session will combine formal teaching with interactive activity to successfully develop your e-commerce knowledge.
